Shearwater birds have the longest recorded migration pattern of any animal. Migrating deep into the Southern Hemisphere and returning to the Northern Hemisphere in the summer, the Shearwater is the perfect animal to describe Capt. Andrew.
Captain Andrew leaves every Florida winter to make his yearly migration to Antarctica where he works as an Antenna Rigger for the U.S. Antarctic Program. Andrew’s return home is well timed with the summer tarpon migration in Key West, Florida.
Born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Andrew cut his teeth on the inlets, estuaries and miles of beaches available. Fishing was a passion which started at a young age, and carried on through his entire life. Andrew traveled and lived in the midwest for years and refined his fly fishing passion along the way. Years later Andrew has traveled the world to places like The Bahamas, Cuba, New Zealand and Belize.
Captain Andrew’s goal on the water is not only to show you the beauty of Key West but to educate his anglers on how to successfully target and catch the fish which roam the azul clear waters. With his laid back nature, Andrew makes a great teacher and guide willing to take extra mile to ensure a successful day on the water.
Dates for this year’s summer season are filling up quickly!
